But everything changed in 2011 when a friend convinced her to give yoga another try. That second chance turned into a passion. She began sharing her practice on social media in 2012, and by spring 2015, she completed her 200-hour teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center under Stephanie Keach and Kimberly Puryear.

Since then, Jessamyn has taught yoga and meditation around the world. In 2019, she co-founded The Underbelly, a digital wellness app created to make yoga inclusive, accessible, and rooted in authenticity. With over 200 classes and a growing global community, The Underbelly is not just a platform—it’s a movement that centres real people, real bodies, and real self-love.
